Saudi Arabia visa

Saudi Arabia borders Jordan and Iraq in the north, Kuwait in the northeast, Qatar, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates in the east, Oman in the southeast and Yemen in the south. It is separated from Israel and Egypt by the Aqaba Bay.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the fifth largest Asian country, with 95% of the country being desert, it occupies most of the Arabian Peninsula. With about 15% of oil reserves worldwide, Saudi Arabia is an important regional and global country. Not only is the Kingdom one of the richest countries in the world, but it has also implemented a closed-door policy on tourists for decades in an effort to protect its religious rules.

This is one of the hardest to visit countries due to strict visa regulations but recently they have started to slowly open for tourists.

Saudi Arabia visa and things to know:

a. Hajj visa in Saudi Arabia

Hajj visas are available for Muslim tourists wishing to make a religious pilgrimage to Mecca during the last month of the Islamic calendar (August to September).

b. Tourist visa
In 2018, Saudi Arabia visas (also known as Visa Sharek) were introduced. It grants mobile visa for specific areas of Saudi Arabia only when applicants buy tickets for international government events on the Sharek website. All Sharek visas are single entry and are valid for 30 days. The holy cities of Mecca and Medina, are limited to Muslim travelers and pilgrims.
Tourist visas are only issued to selected groups on a limited basis. All visitors to Saudi Arabia are required to have a valid passport with at least 6 months validity, appropriate visa and round-trip ticket.
In September 2019, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced a new electronic visa. This visa allows you to travel to Saudi Arabia anytime of the year, unlike the Sharek visa that is only allowed to travel in December.
